Good but fails to load tracks

Ok I like this game very much and doodle army 2, mini militia, but when ever I want to get a free track it fails to download and also when I go to the garage and get any kind of upgrades, I go to get the track, sometimes the tracks do not fail to download but when I download the track it resets my upgrades and it make me have to go back to the garage to re do my upgrades I would play the game a lot if you fixed this at least doodle army 2, mini militia does not crash I will rate this game more stars if you fix it

Crash Cart - Awsome

I really love this game! It's a very good idea for a game because if you play it for 10 Hours, it is still fun! I get why this game is rated 4 and a half stars. The only problem that I have with the game, is some curse words people have been saying, like b****, and a**, but otherwise, it is a great game! Good job to the creator!

Response to Developer Response - Thank you for responding to my review. At the time, I misheard these sounds from the main character, and I was slightly concerned, mostly because I showed this game to my little cousins. They love this game a lot, and every time they come over, they beg to play this game on my iPad mini. They love making tracks that are hard and have mass amounts of TNT. They don’t really know curse words, so I was tad nervous about them playing. But besides that, the game is amazing, and deserves more attention.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the kind words. As for the 'curse' words (and we take heat for this... its not intended or actually the case.) There aren't any curses or slurs. There is approximated non-english made up grunt expletives, they are not found in any dictionary. The scripts we recorded called for non-curse words, a line we are adamant about not crossing with this app. Then when you scale them down they sound like whatever you want to hear. We are happy to send you the files in isolation for your own review. But we intentionally set out to avoid just what you claimed! We wouldn't make it through curated review with a rating we do have if the approximated expletives were not done so. It probably doesn't help that in gameplay there is engine noise and road noise from racing happening. But we were attempting to approximate grunted expletives, the emotion of them, without dropping the f-bomb. And sheist and frak when sped up into Crash Cart Joe voices leave a LOT of interpretation. We never recorded or intended them to be more than general expletive-like sounds "ow, ooo, ug, sheist*, friggin, uh, augh, etc." *(turns out sheist, or shiest actually, is a word... after processing it sounds like s***... sort of...) They are non-words though. It is like listening to that record from a long time ago then seeing the lyrics later in life and realizing... That is not what I heard all those years ago, but there you go, the official lyrics say otherwise. Again anyone who wants a link and listen to the sound files we think might be most construed as actual expletives are welcome to them. As for the friggin we took that one out after someone swore at us that we were saying "fa**ot" and what we recorded doesn't even end in a T sound, so just to avoid any argument we removed it. Those crash grunts are meant to be funny non-words, and we don't think slurs are funny, so its a perception/stance we'd like everyone to understand. :)

(Really) Nice Game but...

I love this game it is awesome, however I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but I think I heard the character say 'F***ot' when he crashes a couple of times. I'm not sure if you know this, but that word is a slur, and even if you are gay, it still doesn't belong in a game like this. I am (a proud) bisexual, and I know a few gay people myself. On a more positive note, I love this game, it's like Happy Wheels, only without the gore. It's so fun to play on my iPhone 4 and the bugs aren't a bother at all. Love it! Just take out the slur plz.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for posting your concern. A slur like you mention does not in any way belong in a game like ours. Rest assured we don't use that word or any actual slurs. They are meant to be generic grunt-able non-word expletive-like sounds. In a world that rips at the fiber of your existence, I can relate wholly how you might think that is something that could be said, especially if has even been thrown at you like missile to the face or as a derogatory slur. That being said "friggin" was what was on the script, when sped up, then played along with all the other game noises I suppose one can pretty much hear whatever they want to (or not want to hear in this case.). This was reported to us in email many years ago, I had dozens, including LGBTQ, friends had a listen, and it was pretty much a non-issue (they were my friends and knew me so I get benefit of the doubt with them that we wouldn't let a slur get released,) but we still took 'friggin' out after this to avoid controversy, but we never released another update for a while after that, there are 12+ other funny non-real-word sounds, this was just one of them to get the point across. If you want to hear the raw sound with no other background noise you can extract it from the old app or give us an email (well send links.) We can send it to you. But its probably moot and the next release we finally put out (years later) had the change. Those non-word expletives were all in the spirit of fun pain (like smashing your finger with a hammer.) The term you mention doesn't even fit with our intent! Who does that? Not us! That is not what I say when I bash my shin into a trailer hitch. Maybe some folks do, we have been shown how 'small world' some minds can be and how many there are in recent years...) Bottom line is... the sound was meant to be a fun expression of pain and suffering in the game, not the real world. That was the intention all along. No harm meant. It doesn't make your life any easier, but we don't intend to contribute negatively. Be safe.
