Description

Ad And Stuff Blocker is an ad blocker extension for Safari. It is as simple as can be with no configuration - it just blocks ads. After it starts, a plain white window will come up and tell you that you are ready to start browsing. You can add URLs to the whitelist or close out that window and should never have to rerun the app unless you uninstall and reinstall Safari or OS X or you upgrade the app.

Unlike other other ad blockers that are not extensions, Browsing with Ad And Stuff Blocker is at least as fast as browsing without it - even faster if the page normally has lots of ads. We will never accept donations to whitelist ads.

Ad And Stuff Blocker now supports a user created whitelist and heavy duty ad blocking support for popular porn sites.

The only blocker to work in Yahoo’s inbox

Update-There is an issue with text missing from online articles on Yahoo and other sites. I turned the app off and the text reappeared so I know it is the app causing it.
I had to turn the app off until this issue is fixed (Hopefully it can be)

So far this is the only adblocker that blaocks the annoying ad right on top of Yahoo’s inbox.
So far this is a keeper. After the developer adds a whitelist or a way to turn it off with a click on an icon it will be perfect

I'm sorry to hear that. It doesn't uninstall from Safari, but Safari lets you open the app in Finder so you can uninstall it there. What version of OSX do you have?

You NEED this ad blocker.

Thanks to Apple and their Safari 12 update my ad blocker is gone. There are a couple of websites I use quite frequently for research and I was getting totally hammered with popups and self-starting videos that just seem to come out of nowhere. It got to the point where I thought if I wasn’t able to correct this I could end up going postal on my Mac. Did a search and found this one. I have to admit I was skeptical being that the app was free but I was also desperate so I downloaded it. the install was a snap. Then I went to the king of Popups website I always use and just like magic all the popups and self-starting videos were gone. If you need a popup blocker do yourself a favor and give this one a try.

Was doubtful but it works!

With the Safari 12 update, like it did for everyone, it killed AdBlocker so I thought I’d give this a try. It’s free which was fantastic and I’m hesitant to pay for something if I’m not 100% that it will work. I was doubtful of this one working based on some of the crummy reviews but it pretty much installed itself and I’ve had zero problems since, works like a charm. I went to my own blog site that has a few ads — all blocked (which is good and bad, right?). I then went to a site that is riddled with ads and pop ups and more ads and self-starting videos — zero ridiculousness. Bingo, this extension works fantastically! Ignore the bad reviews, this does what it says it will do. Thank you so much!

Thank you. It is a standard Safari extension that follows all of Apple's rules. I have no control over installing and uninstalling - that's Apple's job. However, I have found that some people don't realize that downloading it doesn't install it in Safari. The app has to be opened. After that, it's all in Apple's hands.
