What Lies Underground?

I'm so confused. I was really hoping to an answer to the question. Is there an episode 2?

Vktat ,

Was really looking forward to this game

Hi guys! I’ve been waiting to purchase this game because I saw a lot of people were having problems with it. I figured you had added enough patches and everything was probably ironed out, so I finally bought it yesterday. Started playing about an hour ago. In the first room on the right, I unlocked the top part of the big desk that has stationary, envelopes and pens in the smaller drawers. I know what’s in the drawers because of the dialogue, not because I can see what’s in the drawers. None of them open even though it sounds like they are opening. I’ve continued playing, and a lot of the drawers don’t visually open. I hear them, and the game seems to register that they are opening, but I don’t know if I’m getting everything I need because I’m stuck. Please please PLEASE fix this because I really want to play this game. It looks so fun and challenging! And I want to give it 5 stars. It has so much potential!

Developer Response ,

Hi Vktat, thank you for your feedback. All of the objects that are collectible in the game are immediately collectible when you come across them or gain access to them. There is one item in the bureau / writing desk drawers that is collectible, a piece of paper with a clue, which is picked up as soon as you touch the drawer. There is nothing to prevent you from collecting what is needed.

If you would like some clues as to what to do next please have a look at the hints at www.whatliesunderground.com/hints There are a number of different puzzles or elements to puzzles to try near the start of the game once the house is unlocked.

There are a few drawers that don’t visually open which contain collectible objects, I am looking at the possibility of making these visually openable for a future update so that you can see the items before you collect them. Additional screens will need to be created and 3d models for the non-collectible items.

I am a solo developer that created the whole project, modeling all graphics in 3d, music, sound effects, programming, marketing, website... etc. Covering every aspect takes time as it is split between many roles.

Work has not stopped to continually improve, with over 100 small internal changes added over the last few updates to make the experience even better. (None of these affected solve-ability of the puzzles as all bugs affecting the ability to complete the game were fixed in the first few updates). Further updates are currently in progress. If you have any more suggestions please feel free to send an email to admin@positronicstudios.com Many thanks – Stuart.

Not bad

I had fun playing this game, with a few exceptions. First of all, for 4 bucks it was a little on the short side. Second, the inventory system was unnecessarily complicated, and should have been more user friendly. Third, the game involved a little too much wandering around clicking on random things, because solving a puzzle did not necessarily lead you in any particular direction. And fourth, what were the wrench and the feather for? I never used them.
