Supercell reveals Brawl Stars Challengers NA schedule and fans are not happy
Supercell has announced schedule and format for Brawl Stars Challengers North America, an open tournament designed to help aspiring players enter its professional circuit.
The event will also act as a pathway to qualify for the World Finals for the best-performing team.
Registrations for the 2026 Brawl Stars Challengers North America will begin on April 24 and will remain open until May 11.
Participating teams will begin their journey in Open Qualifiers running from May 16 to 17 and May 23 to 24.
Squads will compete in a single-elimination format, with the top eight teams from each qualifier advancing to the Group Stage.
16 teams will be split into four equal groups, and after a round-robin format from June 4 to 10, the top two teams will qualify for the double-elimination Playoffs.
The final stage is scheduled to take place from 12 to 14, and all matches will be best-of-three except for the best-of-five Grand Final.
While fans will be able to watch the tournament live on Liga Ace Esports’s Twitch and YouTube channels, Supercell will also open applications for co-streaming on May 19, with selected streamers to be revealed on June 1.
Brawl Cup Schedule Conflict Draws Criticism From Fans
The dates for Brawl Cup 2026, which is taking place from May 15th to 17th, coincide with the first Open Qualifier for Challengers North America, and fans are not happy about it.Competitors will have to choose between one of the most important tournaments of the year, which will send the winner directly to the World Finals, and one that might literally be the start of their dream career.
“Whose idea was it to put Challengers on the same dates as Brawl Cup?? I would guess more than half of the competitive teams are going to be split up…” a user stated on X (Twitter).
Even if the timings for both events are different, interested participants could lose crucial practice time, and the competition in the second Open Qualifier will be relatively high.
Hopefully, Supercell can consider the feedback and adjust the dates for Brawl Stars Challengers North America accordingly.
