Hands-on with Million’s Lovers - Tricks, Likes, Treats, where an adorable dog does tricks on command

By , on November 13, 2014

Million's Lovers - Tricks, Likes, Treats is an auto-runner, there's no getting away from that. If you're sick of endless runners, then this probably won't bring you back to the fold.

But it adds two very important things into the mix for those that aren't yet done with the genre.

The first is a QTE style input system for performing tricks as a dog, which keeps you on your paws. It's a flexible system, and the controls work well for it, but there's still a lot of tension in getting it right, since if you screw up too often you fail the level.

The second is an incredible art style, one highly evocative of games like Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. It looks amazing in motion, and serves to make the cute animals and people that inhabit its world that much more cute.
