Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's esports scene is set to grow massively in 2026. However, Aero Esports won't be able to experience it. 

As of early January 2026, Aero Esports has been banned from the entire MLBB esports circuit following an investigation from the MPL Malaysia Committee. 

Why was Aero Esports banned from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang? 

The Malaysian esports organization was banned from MLBB due to ongoing financial issues that were first brought to the organization's attention in October 2025. 

In a public statement shared on Instagram, Aero Esports had multiple contract violations during MPL Malaysia Season 15 and Season 16. One source claims that players had reported the team's owner to officials due to unpaid salaries. This also included the team's former coach, who also was not paid. 

When the organization failed to get in touch with the MPL following the issues, Aero Esports was given a permanent suspension. 

The owner of Aero Esports is also not allowed to register or operate another team within the MLBB esports ecosystem. 

“MPL Malaysia remains fully committed to ensuring the welfare of players is protected and to upholding the highest standards of professionalism,” the announcement stated. "The league enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of financial misconduct and will continue to take firm action to preserve the integrity of the competition.”

MPL Malaysia Committee added that it would give a portion of the MPL Malaysia Season 16 prize pool to the impacted players and staff on Aero Esports. The total was around $100,000, an amount that would cover all of the outstanding invoices that they were owed. The players and staff can still compete alongside other MLBB teams. 

It's an unfortunate end to Aero Esports, which initially joined the MPL in 2020. The team has been fairly successful throughout its long career, but never quite reached the top of the region's standings. This could be time for the players to shine on new rosters.
