Mobile Legends: Bang Bang MPL Malaysia's Predator: Badlands collab points to big changes

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's Professional League Malaysia is collaborating with the upcoming sci-fi action film, Predator: Badlands. 

Full details of the partnership have not been officially revealed, but we're expecting more details in the next few weeks since Badlands arrives in theaters on November 6th.

MOONTON shared in an official release that Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Predator: Badlands will see their worlds clash "across multiple touchpoints." We aren't quite sure what this entails just yet but streams and special screenings are both predicted by the community. 

This is because MPL Malaysia had a similar collaboration with another sci-fi movie earlier this month: Tron: Ares. This included an activation at the Season 16 arena, but it seems like MOONTON has even more in the works for this second Disney crossover. 

“Predator: Badlands is the league’s second crossover with a major Disney franchise this season,” said Krystal Tan, Head of Business Development for Malaysia Esports at MOONTON Games. “This is a testament to how MPL Malaysia and esports have evolved into cultural mainstays that resonate deeply with today’s youth.”

These collaborations are part of the league's switch to a franchised model for 2026. The "enhanced franchised format" in the upcoming season includes a lot more collaborations that lead to fan experiences and elevate the entire ecosystem.
