Marvel Duel is a hero-packed card battler from giant of the mobile games industry, NetEase. The news today is that it's getting a closed beta test next Thursday, March 19th. The announcement was first reported on by Mobile Mode Gaming.

You'll have the option to play as either Iron-Man, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Thor, or Star-Lord. As you'd expect, each of these guys has their own unique skills to test out.

There will be over 150 characters to collect at launch from across Marvel's seemingly endless universe. Naturally, you'll be tasked with doing a bit of deck building outside of matches, creating the ideal combination of cards and abilities.

For me, it's becoming increasingly hard to get excited for any new card battlers that arrive on mobile, regardless of the attached IP. Still, I imagine the addition of Marvel's extensive roster of heroes and villains will be enough to draw in at least a decent-sized audience.

If you're at all interested in giving this one a go, you could pre-register your interest now over on the game's official site. No firm release date has yet been announced, but it's unlikely to be too far off at this point. More info can be found over on Marvel Duel's Facebook page.
