Com2uS is adding two new characters to its turn-based RPG Skylanders: Ring of Heroes after a string of updates since the game’s revamp last year.

Details on the new characters are light, but they’re supposed to be particularly distinct from each other and they also come with Legendary and Heroic grades that possess high attack and defence abilities.

The first character to be revealed a mole-like creature called Smash, who holds a giant iron mace that attacks within a wide area. Smash is a powerful leader with skills than can help with survivability in battle.

The second new character added to Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is Scratch. They are a cat who has sharp attack skills that can target enemies’ weak points. While Smash is an earth-based character, Scratch is an Air Element who can move very fast and has skills allowing them to evade and block enemy attacks.

To coincide with these two new characters, Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is also holding a special event offering some in-game rewards. This includes a series of daily missions starting today and lasting until 1st February that lets you grab a mixture of Gems, Gold and various items which are used to upgrade the various characters you can use throughout the game.

These rewards are based on the results you get when completing daily missions. You can also get a large amount of Legendary Skill Power-up Stones that will be dependent on how much you participate in the event. These items are often considered by players to be the best in the game, so it’s worth checking-in to try and grab some if you can.

You can download Skylanders: Ring of Heroes now from the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play title featuring in-app purchases.
