Humble Games has announced its roguelike deckbuilder Slay the Spire is coming to Android next week on 3rd February. This comes about six months after it was released on iOS in 2020.

Developed by MegaCrit, Slay the Spire has you crafting a unique deck made up of hundreds of potential cards you can play during battle. It’s wise to select cards that work well together, as you’ll need a force strong enough the climb the spire efficiently with as little pushback as you can manage. Additionally there are these items called Relics in-game which enhance your deck through powerful interactions.

Whenever you journey up the spire, the layout changes and enemy placements become randomised. This allows you to choose both risky and safe paths, and face different enemies using multiple cards. You’ll even face different bosses each time around.

The reveal of Slay the Spire on Android came in a tweet posted by Humble Games which read: “Slay the Spire is arriving on Android on February 3rd! Which character will you ascend the Spire as first? #slaythespire”.

It was originally released as an early access title on Steam in 2017, before receiving a full launch two years later when MegaCrit added in a whole bunch of new content such as new characters, level variations and even Steam Workshop support. The game has since expanded to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and iOS.

This one is a must have for any fans of roguelikes or deckbuilding games. You can download Slay the Spire from the Google Play store for Android on 3rd February, where it will be a paid title costing $9.99. It’s also available on the iOS App Store for the same price.
