KRAFTON announces a new PUBG Mobile spinoff called PUBG: New State

KRAFTON has announced it will port a new version of the popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to mobile, the second of the series after 2018’s PUBG Mobile. It’ll be coming to iOS and Android later this year and you can already pre-register your interest on Google Play.

PUBG: New State is set in the year 2051, and features the same basic premise as all the other PUBG games have used. You’ll be dropping into a new map called TROI, which has different landmarks that you’ll have to slowly get used to just like in the other games. There are also new interactive objects which allow for new strategies to take down enemy squads.

There also degrees of customisation coming to the game, including giving you the ability to customise your guns using weapon kits. These are mods which mean you can make dramatic changes to how your weapon functions, such as giving it more damage, a fire mode selection, or grenade launcher attachments.

Furthermore, you can make use of combat rolls, drones and a futuristic ballistic shield which are all new additions to the game. Familiar PUBG trademarks include vehicles to drive across the map and the ever-shrinking circle that’s given all players a fright the first time they played the game.

PUBG: New State releases on the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store later this year. Pre-registration is already available on Android.
