Inua: a story in Ice and Time is a new mystery formed by the collaboration of Iko, The Pixel Hunt and ARTE France. The story casts players into the frozen far north of Canada to unravel a story spread across the decades. Collaborated on by Inuit experts and based on the real life accounts of the 19th century Franklin expedition, players will delve into a supernatural story inspired by Inuit tales and legends.

Players will take control of three characters set in different periods of time. Taina is a present-day reporter who is investigating the disappearance of the Terror, one of the two ships of the Franklin expedition, during its exploration of the Arctic in the 19th Century. A young filmmaker, Peter, is covering a military expedition in the 1950s, whereas Simon is a sailor on the original expedition, trying to keep his crew alive as they explore the frozen wasteland. As you progress through these characters' stories and investigate the links that bind them together, you will also uncover the mystery of Nanurluk, the Giant Polar Bear from 10000 years ago, who was hunted and killed by three ambitious humans and whose death disrupted the balance of the world.

Inua is a point and click adventure game with a heavy focus on narrative, in which players will investigate the frozen lands of northern Canada with each character in their own period of time and get tasked with solving various puzzles based on space and time manipulation. As these are solved each, character's minds will be altered with new ideas, assisting each of them on the way to their destinies.
