NetEase has released the follow up to its multiplayer shooter Rules of Survival, appropriately named Rules of Survival 2.0 (ROS 2.0). Created by the same team as the original, ROS 2.0 has optimised the core content of its predecessor to offer players much improved and thrilling gameplay.

Players are able to extensively customise their weapons to create a unique, tailor-made loadout for their individual playstyles, giving a very intimate feel to the gameplay. Several new maps have been added, along with a variety of all-new interesting combat props based on the original.

The Seasonal gameplay system will allow players to constantly strengthen their armoury and accumulate supplies, allowing them to build for future success or have a better chance at winning in the next battle. During battles, players will be able to scavenge over the battlefield to gather supplies and will have to find a way to strategically escape within the time limit to keep their haul.

ROS 2.0 always offers the players an opportunity to indulge in some pay-to-earn business. Gamers can go onto the in-game market and trade items that carry real-world value amongst each other. Even by just playing, players have the opportunity to win vouchers, which they can then redeem for cash after accumulating enough.

Until February 9th, NetEase is running an in-game event. Survivors Return will allow veterans of the game to obtain a plethora of in-game rewards, including some limited time cosmetic items. Veterans will also be rewarded with an extra diamond for each friend they invite during the event. When a new player signs up using one of these invite codes they will also be able to claim the limited bonuses.
