After being on the market for 80 years, the confectionary M&M characters are getting their own game in M&M’s Adventure. Developed by Tilting Point in collaboration with Gear Inc and, of course, the Mars Retail Group, M&M’s Adventure is a puzzler that promises to be as challenging as it is likely to make you want to eat your phone after staring at all that candy.

M&M’s Adventure is the first mobile outing for the sweet brand but not the first video game. There have been quite a few, including a kart racer, appropriately named M&M’s Kart Racing. Whilst it may be a bit odd for a confectionary brand to have their own line of video games, the Mars group have done well branding them, with M&M having their own dedicated stores and the adverts they run featuring the instantly recognisable voice of Billy West.

Whilst this instalment shares the name of the Nintendo game M&M’s Adventure, the mobile game is instead a puzzle game, in which players must match colours of all the M&M range together to blow them up and rack up points. There is also the opportunity to collect various accessories for the characters across 1000 already available levels, with more being added each month.

Along with the new levels, there are also seasonal events frequently popping up for players to attempt with unique rewards, with past events eventually rotating back into play for anyone who missed the available accessories. For April there will be the customary Easter event offering limited time Easter characters for collection. For those puzzle masters, there is a competitive leaderboard to climb up and prove their candy crushing skills. There will also be new game modes being added in the future to keep the gameplay fresh.

M&M’s Adventure is available to download now on Google Play and the App Store.
