In a game like PUBG Mobile, with its heavy reliance on guns and ranged combat, it is only logical that Krafton has a new event featuring the one and only Bruce Lee. It’s time to swap gunplay with fisticuffs and honour the life and works of one of the most iconic mixed martial artists of all time.
Despite passing in 1973 at a fairly young age, it says a lot about the legacy of Bruce Lee that even if you ask those of us born 20/30 years after who was the best martial artist, Bruce Lee will be one of the first to come to mind. Whether that's for his timeless movies, his conception of Jeet Kune Do, or simply that jumpsuit from Game of Death, he will be solidified in pop culture for decades.
Coming in the Version 2.4 Update, The Martial Showdown will provide players with the opportunity to collect outfit sets and headgear to emulate the man himself. So be prepared to see a sea of yellow suits flooding the battlefield. From January 10th the Bruce Lee Kung Fu Soul Set, Melee expert Set and Mr. Kung Fu Set will be released for all to collect. As well as outfits, there will also be special emotes and cosmetics for vehicles, parachutes and much more.
The celebration will be hosted across multiple maps, with special in-game elements paying homage to Bruce Lee's life and his impact on pop culture. You can even meet an in-game render of him from January 10th by taking part in the Dreamrealm Apprentice event. Lasting until January 26th, you will follow Bruce Lee through a series of challenging trails to collect exclusive rewards and prove that you can keep up with one of martial arts greatest.
PUBG Mobile can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
