I don’t want to suggest that Honkai: Star Rail is already running out of ideas, but we are only at Version 2.6 and we are already returning to another previous location. The last few story updates involved the return to the Xianzhou fleet, and now we are set to revisit Penacony in Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age, releasing October 23rd.

In Penacony we shall be visiting Paperfold University as it prepares for its newest semester. The campus is abuzz as clubs recruit new members and music fills the air. To celebrate, the university is hosting an exclusive academic seminar. Due to the Astral Express Crew’s tendency to make a mark on every place they meet, they have been invited to attend.

The Trailblaze continuation mission, Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja and Humanity, will see the Trailblazer, on March 7th, and Dan Heng experience campus life as auditing students. You can also step into the role of a band manager in Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription, to help prepare for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party.

It's in this event that you will work with the newest 5-star ally in this Version; Rappa the self-styled ninja. Part of the Galaxy Rangers she is pursuing her nemesis, Evil Ninja Osaru, seeking justice. When using her Ultimate the gameplay will shift to a first-person view to unleash Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade. This can wipe out groups of enemies, whilst reducing their Toughness, should they survive the onslaught.

Alongside Rappa, we will see the return of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, my first 5-star, not-so-fun-fact, Acheron, and Aventurine.  These are three great characters and will serve you well in the release of the third Simulated Universe DLC. The Unknowable Domain has crashed into the Simulator, releasing a host of Scepters for you to collect in your run and utilise to unlock powerful synergies when used alongside Components.

Honkai: Star Rail is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
