Sporting crossovers are a risky business. However, while the aquatic shotput is a risk we're not prepared to take, we think Big Fish Games got it right with Fairway Solitaire's blend of cards and golf. Now the developer is back with Fairway Solitaire Blast, its equally zany free-to-play follow up.

As before, you'll be flitting between different golf courses, and trying your hand at numerous variations of solitaire. You'll also encounter some new power-ups which will help you avoid the rough by obliterating any cards that threaten to ruin your swing.

Though there's plenty of focus on the card game portion of Fairway Solitaire Blast, the golf aspect of the game appears to be hiding in a sand trap. Levels are still divided into courses that visit a host of different locations, but beyond that, there doesn't seem to be as much emphasis on the golf theme this time around.
