Stretched could have one of the simplest and easiest to understand premises seen in video gaming. Yes, even simpler than 'a gorilla has stolen my girlfriend'. You play a depressed ball. He's so close to reaching the bubbles of happiness, but he needs some assistance to go the distance. Through eighty four stages it's up to the player to shake the blues away.

Each level plays a little like a mix of angry birds and cut the rope. The ball is moved by stretching back, lining up the trajectory line to where you want to fling him, and then letting go. The goal of each stage is to reach the happiness bubble with the arrows pointing at it, but other bubbles can be collected if you care about achieving the coveted three star rating in every stage. The game starts off with simple flinging but soon all manner of interesting contraptions are introduced such as sticky blobs, wiggle chains, and a three sided monstrosity straight out of a mad scientists' nightmare.

Since the game is based around obtaining happiness, it makes sense that the colors and backgrounds would have a light hazy feel to them, although with the expressive blobs and the look of some of the contraptions, it's easy to guess that this game was heavily influenced by World of Goo's visual style.

Stretched is all about a laid back puzzle experience. Its goal is noble and the constant gameplay additions keep things interesting. A must for fans of addictive puzzlers.
