Feng shui (traditional Chinese: 風水; simplified Chinese: 风水; pinyin: fēng shuǐ) is an ancient Chinese system of aesthetics believed to utilize the Laws of both heaven (astronomy) and earth (geography) to help one improve life by receiving positive Qi. The original designation for the discipline is Kan Yu (traditional Chinese: 堪輿; simplified Chinese: 堪舆; pinyin: kānyú; literally: Tao of heaven and earth).

The words 'feng shui' literally translate as "wind-water"in English. This is a cultural shorthand taken from the following passage of the Zhangshu (Book of Burial) by Guo Pu of the Jin Dynasty:

Qi rides the wind and scatters, but is retained when encountering water.

Many modern enthusiasts claim that feng shui is the practice of arranging objects (such as furniture) to help people achieve their goals. More traditionally, feng shui is important in choosing a place to live and finding a burial site, along with agricultural planning.

吳培志，字志林，號林珍，壯族，生於1962年，原籍廣西欽州市，現居於廣西北海市。歷任廣西欽州市經濟學會副會長，廣西欽州市綜合資訊諮詢服務中心主任，廣西北海市國際周易學會河洛堪與學教授、會長。現任廣西北海市達誠礦業貿易有限公司副總經理及多家企業集團和房地産公司顧問。
他自幼喜愛堪輿，幸得吳氏家族所珍藏的吳穎授吳景鸞之河洛地理秘訣三部，經多年研習與實踐，基本融會貫通，掌玩於心。爲進一步提高自己的河洛堪與輿水平，他隨後四處尋訪明師，期間偶遇一位老人蒙難，經他奮力救助倖免於難，在護理期間，才得知此老人系大清國師康基田的第八代唯一傳人——農振猷，驚喜之餘即要拜他爲師，但老人家未立即應允，只答應收他爲義子，經過五年的多方考驗，終於收他爲衣缽傳人。

《河洛堪輿大成》系統、完整地闡述河洛堪輿理論和實踐體系，它深入淺出地剖析河洛堪輿絕學巒頭和理氣體用關係，陰陽、形理、氣勢的關係及其操作、應用、應驗等方方面面。河洛堪輿理念認爲，萬物存在形式一正一反，一陰一陽，一形一氣，變幻莫測，充滿辯證關係，其理法與傳統的中醫學理同出一源。《河洛堪輿大成》可分爲陰宅、陽宅和擇日三部分，任何一者不可偏廢，著作中很多文字是歷代聖賢明師手筆與師徒授藝時之用語，及作者的實踐經驗、心得，句句真言，字字璣珠。
