Personal Black Box Visual is the guide for air travelers. It combines a set of FAA World Aeronautical Charts into a single, continuous mosaic covering the entire continental United States. Use the charts to track your progress and identify landmarks out the window. You can zoom, scroll and jump to major airports. WIth a little practice anyone can figure out where they are using a chart.

Better yet, if your device provides GPS location information, Personal Black Box displays and updates your current location, speed, altitude, and course on the chart. The best configuration is an iPad with with GPS (cell-enabled).

Personal Black Box is a stand alone application. There are no subscription fees for charts or other additional purchases. Charts are pre-loaded so Personal Black Box does not use a Wi-Fi connection.

Chart coverage is the Continental United States.

Warning: Personal Black Box cannot be used to operate an aircraft or vehicle safely. It limits the frequency of position updates to conserve power; the charts may be out-of-date for navigation; the charts have been modified for entertainment purposes; and it allows the device to go into sleep mode.

The major difference between Personal Black Box and Personal Black Box Visual is how charts are managed. Personal Black Box allows the customer to download chart. It supports more different types of charts. Personal Black Box is has WAC charts preloaded but does not download other charts.
