Line and circle, black and white, stone and wood. A few moments to learn, a lifetime to master. Go is an ancient board game of skill that combines simple elements to create a challenging experience that is enjoyed by over 40 million people around the world. Despite its simplicity, the strategic and tactical possibilities of the game are endless. Each game of Go demonstrates the skills of the players in balancing attack and defense, recognizing an opponent's strengths and exploiting their weaknesses. From beginner to expert, the game of Go provides challenge and enjoyment to players at all skill levels.

The rules of Go are easy and learned quickly. The game is played by two players who alternately place black and white playing pieces, called "stones", onto vacant positions on the board. Once placed on the board, stones are captured and removed when surrounded by the opponent's stones. The object of the game is to use your stones to dominate a larger total area of the board than your opponent. At the end of the game, players count one point for each vacant position inside their own territory, and one point for every stone they have captured. The player with the larger total is the winner.

With the game of Go from MobilityWare you can play against other users online, or against a friend in a pass-and-play game using the same device. Beginning players will also find playing against the computer a simple way to get a feel for the game. Each game can be played on one of three board sizes, 9x9, 13x13, or 19x19. Players can use the convenient zoom feature to get a closer look at the layout of the board and position stones with precision.
