For those who never heard of it before, KARUTA is a simple Japanese card game designed to learn Hiragana characters. All you need to do is listen to the card reading, and single pick its correct pair from the batch of picture cards ! Obeying to its ancient origins, this educational app is designed specifically for toddlers and kids who just started learning elementary Japanese.

Thanks to artworks adapted from Yoko Imoto's popular picture book, your kids will learn how to read and write basic Hiragana characters from "あ" to "ん" while having fun. Later on, your kids may challenge the computer for a game and test his/her skills. The app itself is also very intuitive and easy to learn. You don't even need to clean up the room afterwards !

[About the original picture book]
This app was derived from best selling picture book "AIUEO NO EHON" which sold 230 thousand copies in Japan. Without a doubt it is the best educational Karuta product for kids. The original picture book provides :

- Introduction to the entire Hiragana characters from "あ" to "ん".
- Sentences designed specifically for easy memorization.
- Sections for Katanakana and Romaji with writing instructions.
- Section for elementary vocabularies such as "ありがとう" and "ごめんなさい".

[App modes]

(1) LET'S PLAY CARDS !
Play KARUTA card game againts the computer. Can you find the correct picture card under 30 seconds ? Let's try !

(2) MEMORIZE EACH PAIRS
Memorize each correct card pairs. Touching the Reader's Card will initiate the reading, while touching the Picture Cards will start the following mode (3).

(3) LET'S WRITE
Write the Hiragana, Katakana, Romaji characters by following the on-screen instructions. Even some of you parents might've forgotten these stuff ! Kids may retry as many times as they want.

(4) LINE THEM UP
Line up the scattered Hiragana character cards in correct order. Get correct five times and win ! Go for the perfect mark !
