Math-a-Baby was designed to teach young children basic mathematical concepts. Your child will learn the concept of increasing as well as the concept of decreasing.

Most mathematical apps shows the child a symbol representing a number; this becomes a memory exercise for the child and the true concepts of quantity, addition,subtraction etc. are never learned. Math-a-Baby remedies this by not including number symbols so that the focus stays on the quantities the child sees. For us it is important to shape the young brain with abstract concepts rather than symbols.

The attention spans of young children are quite short and this is addressed by introducing short animated interactive break sequences between the various lessons.

It is recommended for the parents to sit with the child while he/she is using the app for the first few times. This will show the child how the app works and the parent can also verbalize the quantities shown on screen in the child’s first language.
