Description

The ancient game of Nine Holes from England. It is similar to Tic-Tac-Toe, but each player has only 3 pieces and diagonal wins do not count. If there are no winners by the time all the pieces have been placed on the board, players take turns moving their pieces anywhere on the board until one of them achieves a 3-in-a-row.

How To Play

The game is played on a 3x3 board. The goal is to achieve a 3-in-a-row -- horizontally or vertically -- while blocking your opponent from doing the same.

You start with three pieces off the board. Players take turns placing pieces in any open space on the board attempting to achieve a 3-in-a-row. If neither player achieves 3-in-a-row during the drop phase, the players take turns moving one of their pieces to any open space on the board until one of them achieves a 3-in-a-row.

The game is declared a draw after 50 moves.

In single player mode, the difficulty level will automatically increase or decrease as you win or lose. You can also manually adjust the difficulty level and then lock it into place to prevent it from automatically adjusting.
