★ About the Author ★

I'm Rebecca Wine (I also have a few real names: maiden name Christophersen, married name Gouttenoire) and I'm a Danish-Canadian who decided to come to Italy in the mid 90'ies.
Soon after I landed I got involved in my first wine related adventure, the Enoteca Baldovino, one of Florence's first wine bars together with friends who now own the renowned Villa Bordoni Hotel close to Greve in Chianti (www.villabordoni.com).
Wine was revealed to me as the most wonderful beverage full of nuances that have to do with places, culture, history & tradition. My interest was hence nurtured by numerous tasting opportunities every day and since then it has been a long path of discovering new flavors and dimensions of the wine world.

In the 2004 I started touring with guests as a wine tour guide taking them to my favorite wineries around Tuscany (www.tuscan-wine-tours.com). Then in 2009 started a restaurant with 3 friends called Officina della Cucina Popolare (you'll find a reference to it under Eateries in this APP) and then in 2010 I started the very first wine school in Tuscany called, in
