Q:Why there is no sound from iPad speaker after I upgrade to iOS 5.1?
A:Some users reported that iPad becomes mute when upgraded to iOS 5.1 (unless had headphones in). You can try the following ways to solve the problem:

a. Dedicate the physical toggle to mute or un-mute instead of orientation lock and turn the volume on.
b. Long press the power button and restart your iPad.

You can resort to Apple if the problem remains.
