“Hero is a four-legged word.”

Do you know a dog or cat in Oklahoma that you think is a hero? The Central Oklahoma Humane Society is hosting our first annual “OK Humane Hero Awards” event on September 27th help to make it a success!

We’re looking for three adopted Oklahoma pets to recognize for their heroic efforts in surviving seemingly insurmountable odds, saving the life of a human or another animal, or providing service to the community. You can join the journey by utilizing your social network to nominate and spread the word about a pet you feel is a true hero in Oklahoma.

We built this app for you to:
- Nominate your own pet! Just upload your photo and stories to our app.
- Nominate a friend’s pet! Socially post their picture and story to help drive votes.
- Share your pet’s photo to your social networks! Spread the word to get more votes for your pet.
- Vote for your favorite animal through our app and SHARE! The more you share, the more votes that pet will get!
- Send fundraising campaigns to your family and friends to help us meet our goal.
- Don’t have a pet to nominate, share your own pet’s photos to our gallery.

The nomination process will begin on July 16th finalists will be submitted to our selection committee for the final round of voting. Your shares, likes and comments will help our committee pick our three pet heroes! Winners will be announced at the event on September 27th
