We've heard and answered this question thousands of times.

With Tornado GPS's search function, never has it been faster or easier to determine if you or your family members are located in the path of severe weather.

Tornado GPS™ is also the first app that can estimate the time and distance between you and any severe weather alerts.

Some apps only let you when you're directly inside of a alert. We feel that's too late, especially if you're travelling.

We automatically display this critical information at the bottom of the app in miles, minutes and kilometers.

If you click the bottom of the app, it will now open up the Details page!

On that page, you can scroll through the details of every alert near your location or any other location you've searched and/or saved into your favourites!


3D Radar:

We've also included the first ever, mobile 3D Radar!

Now you'll be able to fly right into the eye of a Tornado or Hurricane in real-time and see the areas that the storm is impacting.

We're working towards adding instant access to our Facebook alerts through the app but for now, search for "Oklahoma Tornado Watch" or "Ontario Blizzard Watch" and join in on the severe weather discussion!

P.S. Some future updates include:

- Tornado GPS™ will eventually compare your location to any Tornado activity such as funnel cloud reports, damage reports and advanced technologies like Tornado Markers or Rotation Markers.

- Automatic notifications when the app is turned off. For now, you have to have the app open to get the notifications.

- Text message alerts service working in combination with Tornado GPS, texting you critical specifically based on your GPS location! This will be a subscription service but will allow you to receive alerts even when you're not connected to the internet!

- We'll eventually include the accurate Tornado and severe weather forecasts from the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Their brilliant Meteorologists have proven time and time again that they're very accurate at forecasting Tornadoes and severe weather.

- Tornado GPS™ will eventually compare your GPS location to these amazingly accurate forecasts and in some cases, you'll be notified up to eight days in advance of a potential Tornado Outbreak.

- For Canadian users and those who are close to the Canadian border, we'll also notify you of any severe forecasts from Environment Canada and/or our custom severe weather forecasts.

- Etc, etc, etc.

Critical updates:

- Search functions now work great! Search any location in the world. (Make sure you click the "Search" button at the bottom right of the Search menu before searching for new locations!)

- Save any location!

- App will automatically focus in on your location as long as you give it permission to use your location when you first open it

- Click the bottom of the app to load details about every Warning/Watch/etc in the area surrounding your current location!

- Scroll through all those details in the Detail page

- We've also made some more glitch fixes to the app and we're also converting all critical functions to Amazon cloud hosting.

This will allow us to be flexible with a lot of users at once in order not to crash during Tornado outbreaks, etc.

Exciting to launch critical updates to Tornado GPS!
