PREMIUM USERS can also add their scanned books (with ratings and reviews) to their Goodreads.com account. (PREMIUM USERS are those users who purchase the premium upgrade in-app.)

You are not required to have a Goodreads.com account to use our barcode scanning features.

** NOTE **

If you have an Apple device without an autofocus camera (all devices except the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS), then you need to make sure when you scan a book you have good lighting and hold your device steady. Since the camera doesn't have autofocus it can take a few seconds to scan the barcode.
