A Wifive checkin lasts for five minutes. Then you must pull to refresh.

It only shows you to your contacts who also use the app and have you in their contacts.

If you don't see yourself, add your number to your contacts.

Wifive does upload your contacts' phone numbers to the server, it is the only way to know if other people with your number should or shouldn't see you.
