You can choose the schedule the chimes will play on, which means they can be silenced at night. Chimes will play in the background whether the app is running or not. It's the perfect companion to News Clocks, the popular world clock.

Please note: your ringer volume must be turned on in order to hear the chimes. Yes, even the iPad has a ringer volume.
