Description

Can a place tell a musical story? Is it possible to move around inside a composition?
What does Lundagård in Lun, Sweden, sound like when rythmical wingbeats transport you to other worlds?

Around the clock at Lundagård in Lund: In Media Res - a location conscious composition in you headphones by Peter Lång.

Lundagård – a place where where songs have been sung for hundreds of years.
There are people who say that the songs are still here, that they through time have transformed into invisible sound clouds, slowly floating through the foliage.

You can walk into the clouds. A little girl knows how to. She has hidden her song in Lundagård, and she wants you to look for it. When you find her song, you can clearly hear it.

But you must remember one thing. The music follows your path and is guided by your movements.
The music is not as it is, it is how you are.
Welcome to the midst of things!";

Welcome into the invisible concert hall presented by Musik i Syd, this time at the Lund Choral Festival. Make sure your headphones are plugged in so that you can join this rythmical journey inspired by it’s location, a musical experience that changes as you move around affected by your location.

Composed by Peter Lång and sung by members of Ensemble Syd - Ann-Christine Wesser Ingels, Amanda Flodin, Daniel Carlsson, Josef Hamber, Johan Bogren - and additional voices from Katja Lång and Peter Lång.

The concept COM.POSITIONS is part of Musik i Syd’s development towards digital scenes for music. It also gives composers an opportunity to reach a new audience through site specific music at public places.

Musik i Syd in cooperation with Scen3, supported by Region Skåne and Swedish Arts Council.
