Description

IMPORTANT: Starting in mid 2015, BirdLog will be improved and relaunched by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as “eBird Mobile” which will be a free app.

If you are considering purchasing BirdLog please be aware that it will be replaced soon by eBird Mobile. If you do decide to purchase, thank you! 100% of the proceeds of your purchase will go to supporting the launch of eBird Mobile.

We would like to take a moment to thank the many people in the birding community who have contributed time, money and sightings to the BirdLog and eBird. We have worked hard and dedicated years of hard work to BirdLog. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to get in touch using the “support” link below or through our website.

Enter your sightings into eBird where you need it ... in the field!

BirdLog was built by active eBird users as a power tool for submitting data into eBird. It is designed to make field data entry easier and more accurate.

Your feedback, suggestions and positive reviews allow us to continue improving BirdLog. Each purchase helps support the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology and the eBird project.

Here's what some users say about it:

"BirdLog is the Killer app for eBird."

"Data entry could hardly be easier."

"Finally!" (ok, we deserved that!)

BirdsEye BirdLog is the exclusive mobile data entry tool for eBird that allows you to:
-- Plot the exact location of your sightings using your phone's GPS
-- 1 tap to increment species counts ... couldn't be easier
-- Create new personal locations or choose an existing hotspot or personal location for your checklist
-- Create checklists even when there is no cell coverage for later submission to eBird
-- Enter birds quickly and easily as you see them using bird codes or full names
-- Scroll and review your checklist before submitting it

This version covers South America, including the Galapagos and other islands normally grouped with South America. Our world version, called "BirdsEye BirdLog -- Worldwide" is available for birders who want world coverage. The advantage of the regional versions compared to the world version is that they are smaller and slightly faster because they do not need to juggle the full worldwide taxonomy, and because they offer a much shorter default list for use when creating a checklist offline.

This version is a universal app for use on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It is optimized for use on both iPad and iPhone/iPod sized screens.

If you are not already familiar with eBird, we recommend that you visit ebird.org and familiarize yourself with eBird before purchasing BirdLog.

Your participation in the eBird project helps support scientific research by making your bird sightings available to scientists, researchers and other birders. It's also a great way to keep track of your life lists and maintain accurate records of your sightings for future generations.

A portion of every purchase helps support the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology's eBird project. Thank you!
