Use LatLong Trace to create and share a map trace of your favorite hike or to show an unusual route to a business or other place of interest. To create a map trace simply touch the map along the path and then share the trace via a text message or email.

Along with sharing your map trace with your friends and family you can retrieve the actual latitude and longitude values of all the points along the path. To do that simply share the trace to yourself and then click on the text link created. The link includes an encoded list of all the path points which, when decoded on the latlongtrace.com website, provides a text list of all the points which you can easily copy and paste to other apps or computer programs. The latlongtrace.com server also provides street views and pictures of places close to your map trace.

If you have an iPad Pro then you can use the Apple Pencil with it to create a very accurate map trace.

Added a 'Hold' button to reduce inadvertent map touches when you move the map. When the app loads the 'Hold' state is ON. Touch it to turn it OFF.
