The Winter Concert Series offers a unique winter experience with the Muresanu Piano Duo, Boyd Metcalf Duo, Daniel del Pino, and Tim Carey performing at St. Matthew's Church between October 2016 and April 2017.

This past summer, the Newport Music Festival celebrated its 48th season July 8-24, continuing the tradition of presenting unique chamber music program, American debuts, world class artists and special events in the Gilded age "Summer Cottages" of Newport. The festival researched and selected works from the 19th century chamber music, vocal repertoire and Romantic era piano literature, to create one of the most extraordinary festivals in the world.

Our Rachmaninoff Series will featured many of the Russian composer's most famous and rare works. We introduced several new artists to the "Family of Artists," including four singers from Palm Beach Opera's Benenson Young Artist Program, vocalists Michael Andrew and Michelle Knight, oboist Mary Lynch and pianist Clemens Teufel-both of whom have Newport roots-and trombonist Achilles Liarmakopoulos, a member of the famed Canadian Brass. The acclaimed Vienna Piano Trio offered their introduction to Newport audiences in two concerts. Radio host Larry King presented two pre-concert talks. French violinist Diego Tosi made his Newport debut and Polish soprano Lucyna Jarząbek, winner of the Third Otto Edelmann Competition in Vienna, made her North American debut.

Special events in the summer season included the Festival's "Rhapsody at Rosecliff " on July 15th, with thanks to co-chairs Ms. Virginia Gambale and Mrs. Suzanna Perez Laramee; and the Mark P. Malkovich, III Memorial Fund endowment reception on July 23rd at The Breakers, part of the "From Broadway to Hollywood Live" evening".
