Description

On March 30, 1981 at 2:27 pm, President Ronald Reagan was shot outside The Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. after addressing a labor meeting (AFL-CIO).

KILLING REAGAN is the first of its kind augmented reality investigation into the assassination attempt of President Reagan. Experience the events in 3D before your eyes like never before. Move your phone closer to the action to get a closer look or pull away to see the entire scene. Learn about the people on the ground and the heroics of the personnel protecting the president’s life.

The app is launched in conjunction with National Geographic’s global television movie event, KILLING REAGAN, starring Tim Matheson and Cynthia Nixon.  The show premieres on October 16, 2016.

After downloading the app, place either a U.S. $1, $5, $10 or $20 bill on the table and point your iPhone’s camera at it when instructed to do so, then watch as history unfolds in front of you.

What's New in Version 1.1

In case you do not have access to U.S. currency this version includes a link to a downloadable marker to use to kick off the experience. Additional updates include:
- Updated instructions throughout the augmented reality experience.
- Offline use capability.
