What's this mushroom is an app that uses computer vision technology to classify mushrooms using the camera. From the poisonous death cap to the strange puffball mushroom, this app attempts to classify the name of a mushrooms from more than 700 different kinds.

If a mushroom is recognized, the app displays more details about the mushroom such as edibility and much more.

The app can't recognize a mushroom? What's this mushroom is always improving. Send us your unrecognized mushroom for even better results or try again with a different mushroom or a different angle.

Currently the app is trained to recognize from a selection of more than 1400 species of mushrooms with each new update including better turned recognition and higher accuracy!


Computer vision classification is not always 100% accurate but it can be very close to help you get closer to the exact species you are looking at. If you have any doubts, send us the picture through the app for human classification.
