It’s Wednesday. At least, I think it’s Wednesday. I’ve sort of lost track of time. I’m going to say it’s Wednesday, and you can all just agree with me because I’m super cool and get to write all the words.

Anyway, with it probably being Wednesday it’s time for us to round up the five best games that are on sale on the App Store right now.

It’s not what you might call a vintage week for games being on sale, but there are a few here that you should definitely consider picking up if you haven’t already splashed some of your cash on them.

Don’t Starve: Pocket Edition

While a new version of the game might have graced the App Store recently, that doesn’t mean you should overlook this excellent survival RPG.

Wander around a randomly generated wasteland making things, starting fires, and trying to stay alive for as long as you possibly can.

Little Luca

A smart and cute as a button physics puzzler that sees you trying to find all the stars after they fell out of the sky.

Gorgeous to look at, easy to play, and bubbling with interesting ideas. There might be a few niggles here and there but it’s definitely worth a look.

Probably Kairosoft’s most famous work. Start your own game development company and try and make as much money from the titles you’re churning out as possible.

The formula might be a little old now, but this is still a brilliant casual management game. A bunch of other Kairosoft games are on sale as well, so make sure you check those out as well.

Jasper’s Rocket

A delightfully casual game that sees you piloting a rocket over a fantastical planet. Also you’re playing a cat for some reason, which gets it madder props in my book.

It holds your hand a little too often for some people’s liking, but if you don’t mind your games laidback and premium then this is the one for you.

Very much an acquired taste, but if you’re a fan of Japanese interactive novels then this is probably going to float your boat in all the right ways.

And where it would usually set you back an obscene amount of money, right now you can pick it up for about a fifth of the price. It’s big and silly, but if that’s what you’re after then go for it.
