Well, here’s a turn-up for the books. It looks like Nintendo’s next mobile game is a lot closer than we thought. And I do mean a lot closer. It’s so close you can almost smell it. Smell that? That’s what it smells like.

Fire Emblem Heroes is, according to Polygon, going to come out tomorrow. That’s right, mark your calendars. Or don’t bother, because it’s coming out tomorrow and it’s pretty much nearly tomorrow already.

We’ve also got some more details about what the game is going to be like. And apparently it’s a departure from the model that Nintendo used with Super Mario Run. Because Fire Emblem Heroes is free to play. With that in mind, here’s everything we know about the game.

It’s free to play

And by the sounds of things it’s free to play in a traditionally mobile sort of way. You’re not going to get a chunk of the game and then have to pay for the rest. Instead it’s wait-timers, currencies, and all of that stuff.

There’s a lot of RPG goodness here

While it might be free to play, there’s going to be a lot here that Fire Emblem fans are going to be familiar with. There’s characters to level up, a massive world to explore, and lots and lots of battles to engage in.

It looks cool

There’s definitely a level of polish here that you’d expect from a Nintendo game. There are a variety of different art styles, and they all look slick and lovely. Plus the interface looks pretty solid as well.

There’s a lot to do

It might be free to play, but that doesn’t mean that there’s a shallowness to the experience. There are still plenty of options with every move you make, and a level of strategy that other mobile games might be lacking.

It’s coming out tomorrow

I guess this is the big one. The game is set to land tomorrow. So keep an eye on our YouTube channel and Pocket Gamer for some impressions, and stick around on AppSpy to see what I think up to write about it.
