PUBG Mobile collaborates with K-pop girl band Blackpink

K-pop girl band Blackpink has released a new album, and it’s got a new collaboration in the popular battle royale PUBG Mobile. The South Korean band released the highly anticipated album, aptly named ‘Blackpink: The Album’, today to millions of fans across the globe, with content appearing in PUBG Mobile to celebrate the release. From now until Monday, 2nd November, players of PUBG Mobile can tune into the song ‘Lovesick Girls’ from Blackpink: The Album in the in-game lobby. This is not unlike an earlier collaboration where players could hear ‘How You Like That’ in the lobby music. While I can’t say I’m much of a K-pop fan, the song doe…

KartRider Rush+ update brings new kart, limited time events

Free-to-play racer KartRider Rush+ has had a new update that brings new content and time-limited events. Mobile developer Nexon announced it had entered a partnership with South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, and the collaboration would add a new kart to KartRider Rush’s roster modelled after its new sport sedan, the 2021 SONATA N Line. Unlike other mobile racers of our time such as Mario Kart Tour and Angry Birds Go, the karts in KartRider Rush+ take on a less stylistic approach, opting for designs that closer mimic real-life cars. Therefore, this partnership makes a lot of sense for the philosophy behind the game. It also marks the first in-game collaboration for the game, allowi…

There’s a Big Brother MMO coming out next month

Irish studio 9th Impact has revealed its officially-licenced Big Brother game will release next month for iOS and Android. In a weird way, it sounds like a battle royale version of The Sims. You play as a contestant on the popular worldwide reality TV series as you experience life as a Big Brother housemate. You have to make strategic choices in order to remain in the house and not be voted out, ultimately utilising social, psychological and interpersonal skills to remain in the game. There are two modes to play in, Housemate and Spectator. Spectator presumably means you take on the role of a viewer watching the housemates scrap and scorn with each other, and eventually get to vote out who…

Marvel Contest of Champions adds the super smart, super deadly Dragon Man

Dragon Man might not be among Marvel's best-known characters, but that doesn't mean he's any less dangerous in a fight. Now, he's made his grand debut in Kabam's Marvel Contest of Champions. In the not-too-distant past, Dragon Man was actually a lifeless android built by Professor Gregson Gilbert. He was then brought to life by Diablo via a potent mix of science and alchemy. Unfortunately for Dragon Man, he's spent a good deal of his time under the control of both heroes and villains who look to use in one way or another. That said, his programming has been upgraded by Valeria Richards, allowing him to think and act for himself. As a hero, he now boasts super-intellect and unstoppable st…

It's actually been available for a little while now in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and numerous other Southeast Asian countries. I imagine we'll continue to…
