NetEase Games’ LifeAfter has received an update that adds in a new mode called Shelter Land as well as a few other slices of content to accompany it. The update is out now on iOS and Android devices.

The new Shelter Land mode adds seven shelter lands to LifeAfter’s vast, seamless map. These areas are up for grabs by anyone, but due to the fierce competition, don’t think controlling one will be an easy task. Check out this trailer here to see the new content in this update.

In addition to that, NetEase is beginning the Shelter Land Showdown where ten invited camps from the final 16 of the Charles Town Clash will be selected to join. It’s a cross-server battle to end all battles as up to four servers are divided into a single combat zone. There are 40 camps in each combat zone with an ultimate total of five winners controlling the remaining Shelter Lands.

This starts from 8th February to 10th February with a round of knockout matches occurring for each Shelter Land to take place, taking you from eight to four, four to two and then finally two to one with the victor controlling the Shelter Land.

During these knockout matches, two opposing camps will occupy each side of the map and earn points from killing players and occupying strongholds. The first to reach the required number of points wins.

But that’s not all, as a world boss will also appear each day at 11am (details are unclear which time zone this refers to, but as NetEase is located in China we can assume this would be 11am UTC+08:00). This is when all players on a server must work together to bring it down, and the top four servers to defeat it in the fastest time will win new advantages for their camp.

You can download LifeAfter now from the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android. It’s a free to play title containing in-app purchases.
