Rise of Cultures is the newest strategy city-builder sim from InnoGames, creators of Forge of Kingdoms and Tribal Wars. Taking the key fundamentals and lessons learnt from their previous games, Rise Of Cultures is a fresh take on the civilisation genre by focusing on establishing an empire by building multiple cities, with a priority towards PvE over PvP mechanics.

Players will develop their young civilization through various ages through history as they seek to explore the world and strike up alliances with other players. The world contains many different settlements of various cultural significance, such as Classical Greece or the Roman Empire. Alliances can be made with any of these kingdoms to advance each other's own empires.

As a multiplayer game, alliances with other players all over the world play a key part, as players seek to work together to trade resources, and work together to establish the strongest kingdoms. Together gamers can gain advances in science, technologies and strategy with the help of key historical figures ranging from Cleopatra to Einstein.

The biggest draw from this new title is the focus on PvE instead of the PvP gameplay, which dominates most games in this genre. In order to conquer new territories on the campaign map, players will engage in large scale PvE battles, using melee and ranged units to take over the lands of legendary commanders such as Leonidas and Hannibal. Researching new technologies is key to success in battle as new military improvements can be found to strengthen their vast armies.

Alongside the general gameplay, InnooGames also release frequent events that players can take part in to obtain new buildings, resources and cosmetic changes for their cities, so there is always a reason to get into the game.
