Prolific puzzle game Puzzle & Dragons has announced the return of the 2018 colab with Yu Yu Hakusho, bringing back the originally obtainable characters along with a selection of new ones. Having partnered with the likes of Sword Art Online and Monster Hunter, developers Gungho Online have made a name for themselves as the company to partner with.

Hailing from the pages of the legendary Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Yu Yu Hakusho was the story of a violent teenage dilequent, Yusuke Urameshi, who when saving a child was hit by a car and killed. He was then recruited to become an Underworld Detective and was resurrected to investigate supernatural goings on in the human world.

Being a match 3 puzzle game, there won’t be many supernatural phenomenon investigations occurring in Puzzle & Dragons, so fans of the series will instead need to console themselves with having a few pulls on the Yu Yu Hakusho Egg Machine, or the Memorial Egg Machine, to try and collect their favourite characters.

The collaboration brings three limited-time events with it. The Yu Yu Hakusho Challenge! Is a dungeon that will provide players rewards for each floor that they manage to clear, whilst clearing the whole thing will grant a pull on the Memorial Egg Machine. The Yu Yu Hakusho Fixed Team challenge gives a set team to play as whilst completing a series of battles. Completion of this will yield another pull on the Memorial Egg Machine. There will also be the opportunity to earn items that can be traded at the Monster Exchange for iconic Yu Yu Hakusho characters, such as Puu, the Heart of Light.

Puzzle and Dragons is available to download free now on the App Store and Google Play. The Yu Yu Hakusho collaboration is happening now and will end on February 27th, with every player who logs in being given one pull of the Memorial Egg Machine, so fans will need to act fast.
