Slash & Roll unleashes large scale dice based combat

By , on February 22, 2022

Developers Gamesture are continuing their trend of taking tabletop pedigree and smashing it into a video game with Slash & Roll. Taking the humble D12 dice, a 12 sided dice to the uninitiated, players band together and succeed or fail on the roll of a dice.

Gamesture has set out to make a massive community experience with their latest game, by pitting guilds of 20 people against other groups of the same number. When the game is booted up, players get sorted into an international guild with other dice wielding warriors who must all work together in fast-paced battles.

The gameplay consists of two guilds, 20 v 20, rolling the D12, with every match-3 result providing a special outcome. This can either be an attack, a critical attack, shield, gold or gifts for guildmates. Each of the skirmish battles has a time limit of 30 minutes, with 10 towers to claim. Guilds must then strategically choose which enemy towers to attack and which of their own to defend to emerge victorious. Each season has guild v guild rankings and individual rankings for best damage dealers and best defenders, with prizes for the top performers.

Outside of battles, guilds can come together and plan for future battles, deciding the best time to attack or the best strategy for next time. There is also room for altruism amongst friends, as sending gifts to guildmates can help them grow and boost their power, in turn strengthening the group. On the other hand, those who have grown weary of their current group can cut ties and move one, creating their own guild or joining another on their quest for group glory. Players can also customise their characters with unique weapons, cosmetics and mounts, as it is always important to look good as you throw dice at someone.

Slash & Roll is available to download now on Google Play and the App Store.
