A whole new region has been released to explore in Black Desert Mobile. Developer and publisher Pearl Abyss has announced the region is called Kamasylvia and brings with it a host of new experiences for players to sink their teeth into.

First released back in 2018 as a mobile spin off to the PC MMORPG Black Desert, Pearl Abyss did a commendable job taking a big open world RPG, and shrinking it down for mobile audiences. Whilst there are of course technical limitations that results in a slightly smaller, less open-world game with a more streamlined story, Black Desert Mobile delivers a rather beefy online game on a portable device.

The release of this new area brings about two big talking points. The first is predictably the area itself, Kamasylvia. Pearl Abyss describe the new area as a mystical forest that has never been reached by strangers outside the gates. An obvious location to be ransacked by adventure-hungry MMORPG players, right up there with “the dungeon of extreme death”. The area introduces all the features expected, a deep new story that explores the history of Kamasylvia and its inhabitants, which are of course elves. When fully completing the quests, players will be rewarded with a new title for their characters as a nice woodland momento.

For those who prefer to sate their bloodlust, fear not! It isn’t all foliage and Legolas. A brand new boss has landed and promises to be a true challenge. Named Narc Brishka, they reside in a cave located deep within the Manshaum Forest area, waiting to snack on the unprepared. Any characters who are strong enough to fell the mighty beast will be rewarded with knowledge of the boss, which translates into a permanent boost to their defence power. Which to be fair, if you have just schlepped through the forest only to be slapped around by a big bad beasty and you haven't toughened up a bit, maybe adventuring isn't for you.

Black Desert Mobile is available to download now on Google Play and the App Store.
