The Impossible Game 2 torments the world March 4th

Fluke Games woke up recently and decided that they really enjoy inflicting torture, and so has announced the release of The Impossible Game 2. Good news for mobile masochists the world over, TIG 2 will launch March 4th, just in time to ruin millions of weekends.

Following up from the first Impossible Game, originally launched in the far away lands of 2009, TIG 2 has already whet the appetite of the gaming world. According to studio head Ed Bentley, there was no shortage of interest from beta applicants when the game was revealed in November 2021.

“So many people signed up for the beta that we had to close the form within just a couple of hours,” said head Ed. “I’d like to thank all the participants for their help improving the game. And gg to everyone I beat testing the battle royale mode.”

TIG 2 will bring back more of the much-loved gameplay of the first, with a few modern upgrades. Taking the form of a rhythm-action platformer with an electronic dance track, a more filled in but simplistic art style, and some self-proclaimed “clever gameplay twists', which is a truly bone-chilling proclamation for a series where even jumping is nerve-wracking.

On top of the signature fast-paced gameplay, TIG 2 brings with it a level editor that is complete with every mechanic in the game, excluding boss fights. These include the sequel's new mechanics such as jetpacks, guns and portals. There is also going to be a new game mode; an online battle royale. Whilst leaping spikes and dodging hazards, players will also be racing 59 other gamers, which can only be imagined as screen-clogging chaos.

Continuing the good news, Fluke Games has announced that most of the TIG 2 content will be completely free-to-play without ads. This includes the majority of the levels and the online battle royale mode. Players looking for a little more can purchase the $5 Achievement Pass, which unlocks level-progression rewards like skins, special items in the level editor, and a bonus skateboarding level called Cloud 9.

The Impossible Game will be available to download free March 4th, on Google Play and the App Store which is open for pre-orders now.
