The closed beta for the upcoming RPG Tower of Fantasy is now open for sign-ups. Developed by Hotta Studio, and published by Level Infinite, Tower of Fantasy is a shared open-world RPG with a nice sci-fi anime-inspired art style.

Tower of Fantasy takes place hundreds of years in the future, in a time when mankind has been forced to leave earth due to dwindling resources and a lack of energy. They land on Aida, which is described as a lush and habitable alien world. There the humans spot a comet called Mara passing by and discover that it contains an unknown but powerful energy called “Omnium”. They construct the Omnium Tower to capture the comet, however, the Omnium radiation triggers a catastrophic disaster that wrecks the new world. And here, in this devastated new world, the play enters to undertake an adventure for the future of humanity.

When adventuring through this new barren world, there will be a vast environment of beautiful open vistas and imposing futuristic structures to explore. Each playable character has its own compelling backstory to explore, as well as unique weapons that grant different gameplay styles. For example, Meryl is your standard stoic warrior that wields the power of ice and carries a Claymore, whereas Samir is a laid-back prankster that controls Lightning and wields Dual Pistols. Players are able to take advantage of the shared world and team up together to take on enemies of all shapes and sizes.

Whilst there is no definite release date for Tower of Fantasy beyond 2022, players can sign up for the closed beta on the website, or if feeling lucky can try to win a chance to participate by taking part in the lucky draw contest the official Facebook and Twitter accounts. Sign-Ups close on 29th March, so act fast.
