Good news for fans of the concept of giant robot fights, which is a category everyone should be raising their hand for, SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL has been announced with a closed beta coming soon. As the latest entry in the SD Gundam G Generation series, players will be taking charge of a super-deformed style robo army to tactically wipe out any and all opposing mechas.

G Generation is the Gundam series that focuses more on tactics rather than two giant robots duking it out, and whilst the later is a tantalising prospect, shrinking them all down and playing a tactical game of robo battle chess on a grid-based map is also very entertaining and challenging. The G Generation Gundam games take place across the whole series, allowing players to create their own unique teams of units and characters throughout the series history.

New characters and units can be obtained by completing stages, using the development features and through quests. While these challenges will be difficult, the rewards are well worth it. On top of the new units, any character that fights will level up, which in most games is a good thing, but in ETERNAL it allows them to be eligible for the Development system. This mechanic is a core piece of the G Generation series, and allows for powered up units to be turned into new, stronger units.

Not many details have been revealed for the game as of yet, but it has been confirmed that SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL will be available on both the App Store and Google Play, with a closed beta test planned soon. More information on this will be revealed on the Official Site, Twitter and Facebook.

For anyone interested in the Gundam series as a whole, the Gundam Game Fest is now available to watch online.
