There are games out there that have deep impactful stories that leave a deep mark on players which are all well and good, but then sometimes everyone just wants to play as a flying cow like in Crescent Moon Games' newest offering, that’s a cow. Both serve an important purpose, and let’s be honest, the latter sounds like a lot more fun.

that’s a cow is a fairly basic little game with simple controls, a cutesy art style and a grammatically incorrect name, but do not write it off for that, as it suits the feel of the game perfectly. It follows a small cow that has somehow gained the ability to propel itself using its own jet of milk, a sentence that should be definitive enough on its own, but let's mooove on.

By using the milk stream and rotating the cow, she can fly through the air, with the ability to alter the milk stream to move faster, fly higher and even push physical objects. There are also many enemies that presumably suffer from lactose intolerance to dispatch with a quick milk-based headshot. These enemies all advance on the poor cow whilst wielding plungers, the use of which doesn’t bear thinking about.

Players can unlock a whole host of cows by throwing coins at a toy machine and seeing what comes out. There are even a variety of rare cows to collect, each with its own jets. There are over 20 unique cows to collect and take through the 100 hand-crafted levels, enough to milk a fair bit of amoosement out of silly little gem as possible.

that’s a cow launches this week, with pre-registration available on both the App Store and Google Play. The game will be free to download, however, it does come with ads.
