It has been a long time coming, but after around three months on consoles, it is time for mobile gamers to get their hands on the holy grail of Dead Cells DLC. One of Konami’s most iconic series comes to the island, in Return to Castlevania.

As our headless hero is chilling after one of their many, many deaths, a mysterious portal suddenly rips open, leading to an eerily familiar castle. Suddenly, out pops an imposing warrior by the name of Richter, begging your aid to defeat the great evil within. Or, to go ransack the castle of its valuables, either work.

Whether you are a die-hard fan of the series or got into it more recently with the quite excellent Netflix series, there is more than enough content to please any level of follower. And if you aren’t a Castlevania lover, then you can simply enjoy the biggest DLC in Dead Cells history and challenge yourself against the new enemies and weapons.

Venturing through this foreboding new biome, you will find yourself up against eleven new enemies, including Vampire Bats, Harpies, Werewolves and even Medusa. These all pale in comparison, however, to the big bad bosses awaiting you. Do you have the skills to take on the mightly Dracula, or even Death itself?

The answer to that is yes, with the help of the host of new vampire-dispatching weaponry you can acquire. Keep your foes at bay with the Castlevania staple Cross, or give them a hosing down with some good old-fashioned Holy Water. If you would like a little help, claim Death’s Scythe for your own, and enslave the ghosts of those you dispatch, but then who would be the villain? You, but in a cheeky fun way.

Dead Cells is available now from the App Store for $4.99 and Google Play for $8.99, with the Return to Castlevania DLC costing $7.99.
